When studying it is more important than doing it

There are wrinkles and an odd little studied in the JDSU announced that it will acquire Circadia. JDSU executives said last year that they want to emphasize the test and measurement companies, they launched during the acquisition Acterna (former Wavetek merged and Wandel & Goltermann) in 2005. It increased the acquisition, picking up Test-Um Inc. Casabyte in rapid succession. Meanwhile, the component has been undertaken in the south, although JDSU tried to stay active in acquiring Picolight. JDSU had thought for several months, had sold its business components, and maintenance of test equipment at its base.

The harsh truth, as the likes of Bookham and Avanex know, is that only a few giants like Finisar will remain in the business of optical components, as much has been trivialized. Communications Test may not be great, but it represents an area where the only major players are people like Agilent, Tektronix and Anritsu.

There is a strange commentary in the layers of abstraction involved in this development. When the communication channel becomes commonplace on the physical layer, we can obviously raise the layers of the OSI model, companies have much networking. Or you can stick to the transmission of physical layer and to study the signal instead of the spread. But there will be a viable business communications test if the company network all freezes up?
